As winter approaches, food banks in the Trussell Trust network are forecast to give out six emergency food parcels every minute. Our new research predicts almost 850,000 food parcels will be needed to support people in crisis during the last three months of this year alone – that’s a 61% increase on last year.

We need your ongoing support today to continue to work together to create a new normal that works for everyone. During the pandemic, the generosity of our supporters has been vital, and in the months ahead it will be more important than ever.

By supporting us in the long-term, you’ll make sure we can be there for food banks and their communities now, and work for lasting change in the future.

In recent months, our supporters have helped us to work with our network to make real change. Together we have:

Helped 14,000 people access emergency food since late May through our helpline we set up with Citizens Advice.

Distributed more than £1 million in emergency grants to food banks in our network to help them adapt and increase services.

Seen more than 12,000 people step forward and offer their help as new volunteers.

Campaigned for additional support for people in crisis, resulting in a government pledge of £63 million in funding for local councils.

By supporting us in the long-term, you’ll make sure we can be there for food banks and their communities now, and work for lasting change in the future.
