Churches are at the heart of our work to provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship across the UK.

Many churches support or run food banks in our network, generously providing venues, volunteers, leadership, donations and more. They are also vital to our campaign to end the need for food banks in the UK.

Watch our video to hear from people with lived experience of using a food bank about why it’s important to ensure everyone has enough money to afford the essentials.

Our Micah 6:8 vision

We are inspired by the call of the Prophet Micah, of ‘what is good’ and ‘what God requires’ of us: ‘to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God’ (NIV).

We invite churches to join our vision and work by…

Acting justly

Churches have a strong history of calling for positive changes needed in society. Help us move towards a future where everyone can afford the essentials.

Walking humbly

For us, walking humbly means welcoming, including and giving more influence to people who have a lived experience of facing hardship and crisis in all we do.
