How it works?
Get together with your friends, family and work colleagues by hosting a Tea for Trussell party, and help us support more people struggling with hunger and poverty.
Whether it’s afternoon tea and cakes at home with a few friends, or during your lunch break at your office with your work colleagues, it’s a great way to get together and raise vital funds to end hunger and poverty in the UK.
Why it matters?
Between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019, the Trussell Trust’s food bank network distributed 1.6 million three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis, a 19% increase on the previous year. More than half a million of these went to children.
It’s important that we continue to offer support to individuals and families in crisis, and campaign for change so that nobody ever needs to use a food bank. Our food banks provide not just essential emergency food, emotional support, and practical advice; they also provide hope. Every penny you raise will make a difference to people in crisis, helping us provide short-term relief and longer lasting support.
