Cost of living is no longer a crisis – it’s an emergency
Help keep food banks going this winter.
We have given you a million stats. But at the heart of this, is a simple truth. This winter without support, there will be people, children, going to bed hungry, getting up again in the morning, trying to get through the day without heat and without food.
Please support us this winter and help prevent this crisis from unfolding.

Our food bank network is providing an emergency food parcel every 13 seconds. We are expecting we’ll need to provide more than 1.3 million emergency food parcels over the next 6 months, a third of which will be for children. The sharp increase in people needing emergency food is outstripping food donations – food banks are having to top-up donations by buying food on a scale we’ve never seen before.
In response to this we have launched our first ever Emergency Appeal Fund to help keep food banks going. Support that will help purchase additional food and help keep their premises open due to rising costs so that staff and volunteers can continue to provide a listening ear, information and support to people facing financial hardship.
Your gift will mean we can be there for people across the UK who need support this winter.
All donations made via this page, until 31 March 2023, will be put directly towards our Emergency Fund Appeal. After this date, your gift will be used by the Trussell Trust wherever the need is greatest. Thank you for your support.
