Help the Trussell Trust provide over 500,000 food bank parcels
As the Coronavirus pandemic develops, more people than ever may need the help of their local food bank. Last year the food banks in the Trussell Trust network provided 1.6 million three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis and over 500,000 of these went to children.
The Trussell Trust is working closely with the food banks to support them in any way they need so that those most vulnerable to the impacts of poverty and isolation can survive these months of crisis, as well as working in the longer term to address the underlying reasons why people experience severe financial hardship. Trussell Trust services include:
Financial Support
Grant funding food banks to help them overcome crises or put in place essential infrastructure
People Support
Running a national volunteering service which helps to identify, train and support specialist volunteers in food banks
Programme Support
Training food banks to be able to offer additional money, housing or wellbeing advice services alongside their food bank
Public Support
Gathering together evidence and experiences from across all 1,200 locations to raise public awareness about hunger and poverty
In the next 3 months The Trussell trust will need to raise money to provide an additional 534,000 parcels through the network of food banks, a 30% increase on this time last year.

Make a single donation
A kind gift of £5 could help provide an emergency grant to a food bank to purchase food for a family when food donations are low.
A kind gift of £10 could help us provide access to an online platform for 5 specialist food bank volunteers for a year, helping to enable over 1,000 volunteer hours of support.
A kind gift of £20 could help provide an hour long training session for up to 20 food bank volunteers on a specialist area of advice and support for vulnerable people.
