Take part in Step Up September, our new and exciting challenge. It’s all about getting fit, raising awareness and funds for the Trussell Trust. This walking challenge is open to everyone, whatever your fitness level. You can do it on your own or as a team. We are encouraging you to take 350,000 steps in the month of September, that’s just over 11,000 steps a day. If the challenge sounds too hard or not hard enough, then set your own target. Make every step count by getting your friends and family to sponsor you.
The average office worker ‘gets in’, around 5,000 steps throughout the day, so why not take on the Step Up September Challenge and take a stand, let’s all get moving in the right direction!
The challenge begins on Saturday 1 September and finishes on Sunday 30 September. By the way you don’t just have to walk to get the steps in, you can run, dance or skip, it’s up to you.
Fourteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK, with individuals going hungry every day, demand for The Trussell Trust’s services continues to grow and increase on a daily basis. By taking part in Step Up September you can help us to raise awareness while raising vital funds allowing us to continue to support our Foodbank network.
Register online and you’ll receive a Step Up September fundraising pack over the next few weeks which will include a sponsorship form to encourage your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you, a lanyard and badge, to proudly wear along the way and a walking log to record your daily steps.
