A photo or video of someone is personal data therefore subject to data protection law. Photos of personal data (e.g., photos of text that are personal data) are also included.

In the context of the tablecloth activities, the law requires you:

1. to inform people how you store and use their data (e.g., a privacy notice);
2. have consent to use the photos and only the photos in accordance with that consent; and
3. manage the photos appropriately (e.g., store them safely and keep them only as long as necessary.

Photos shared with the Trussell Trust could be used for campaigning purposes, including publication online and through other media, including media not controlled by us; photos may also be shared with other organisations (e.g. Joseph Rowntree Foundation). The images may therefore be seen locally, nationally, or globally.
