BULGARIA SUMMER CAMP CANCELLED FOR 2017
We’re sad to say that this year’s Bulgaria summer camp will not be taking place. We hope very much that the camp will return in 2018. Watch this space for an announcemnet about a possible 2017 camp in Albania… If you have any questions please get in touch with Rich at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each summer The Trussell Trust runs a holiday camp where Lipnitsa’s most vulnerable children are safe and loved.
A lack of government funding forces Lipnitsa School-Orphanage to shut during school holidays, leaving the abandoned and disadvantaged children to return to life on the streets or back in poverty stricken communities that struggle to provide just one meal per day.
Two sisters, Nedka, 7 and Nushka, 9, arrived for summer camp with nothing at all. They have no parents and had been living on the streets begging for a living before Lipnitsa took them in. Without the summer camp, these sisters would have been forced back onto the streets. Instead, Nedka and Nushka played on the beach, made new friends and received love and care that they had not had for years.
We need help to fund the 2017 summer camp, click here to donate and help give an abandoned child a safe, happy holiday, thank you!
Volunteer on the Lipnitsa Summer Camp
Every summer a team of young people from the UK help us to run a 10 day summer camp at the Black Sea for 40 of Lipnitsa’s most at-risk children. The youth team run activities, games and craft as well as Christian teaching sessions. We have up to seven places available for a 10-day trip in August 2017.
