Throughout the month, Kerrang! Radio will be working with us and food redistribution charity Fareshare to make as much noise as they can about food waste and food poverty, and we’re delighted to work with them to raise awareness of how foodbanks help when people are hit by a crisis and how we can all help to stop UK hunger.

Kerrang! will be talking to people who have been affected by food poverty, interviewing people from The Trussell Trust foodbank network who are working to tackle the issue, and hear from bands who are offering their support to the campaign. They’ll also be visiting Brent Foodbank, one of the projects in our network, to learn firsthand what a difference a foodbank can make.

Every day people face hunger after being hit by something unexpected, like redundancy, illness or a delayed welfare payment. We don’t think anyone should have to go hungry, but we need your help to make this happen – that’s why it’s great to be working with Kerrang! to bust some of the myths about foodbanks, explain the reasons why people across the country are unable to afford food, and talk about how we can all help to stop hunger in the UK.

Join Kerrang’s Food Fighters campaign and show your support for our work here.  Together we can really make a difference.
