For the second year running, in November 2017 over 100 Amey employees used their Community Involvement Days to volunteer for 12 foodbanks across the UK during our Food Collection with Tesco. The support was invaluable to the foodbanks, who describe Amey volunteers as ‘extremely helpful, cheerful and enthusiastic’, and whose energy and dedication added to the success of the collection, which proved to be a record-breaking year.
In addition to this, the financial donations from Amey help support our foodbank network team who provide essential support to our foodbanks, enabling them to function effectively so they may transition into holistic organisations working to break the cycle of poverty.
We are delighted to work so closely with a business that’s committed to taking an active part in the communities they serve; their vision to empower people to deliver change is a key element of our mission at The Trussell Trust.
We have developed an excellent working relationship with Amey’s Social Value and Impact Team and we look forward to deepening this partnership throughout 2018 and beyond.
