In collaboration with The Trussell Trust, Waitrose has introduced permanent food donation points in all its stores.

This helps to provide foodbanks with a steady and manageable supply of food, as well as non-food items, all year round.

Helen Franks, Corporate Partnership Manager for The Trussell Trust, said:

“It is a privilege to work for such an inspiring organisation and I am particularly delighted that Waitrose is helping us change the lives of so many people by establishing permanent collection points in all of its supermarkets.”

Waitrose has also asked their customers to donate their voices to the soundtrack on their Christmas TV advert in 2014 by singing Dolly Parton’s ‘Try’. They used the donated voices to create a charity single and split all revenue between three charities, including The Trussell Trust.
