40 pence for
Take part in our 40 for 40 challenge this Lent
With people struggling to afford food all over the UK, it is important that we can continue to support families in crisis through our network of foodbanks. They provide essential emergency food, emotional support and practical advice to people who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
“I cried tears of joy at the foodbank. You don’t understand, I had no hope, I was so desperate and they were there for me.” – Mother of one.
We are asking people to join us in taking small actions to transform lives by giving up 40 pence for 40 days. With the addition of Gift Aid this comes to £20.
Or if you feel like challenging yourself to give something up during this period, why not donate the cost of what you save towards The Trussell Trust?
At the end of Lent on 13th April, bank the money you’ve raised and donate it below or send a cheque (made payable to The Trussell Trust and write ‘Lent’ on the reverse) together with this Gift Aid Form to: Freepost Plus RTGG-AUTH-KUGH, The Trussell Trust, Unit 9 Ashfield Trading Estate, Salisbury SP2 7HL.
Don’t forget to join in with the conversation on social media and let us know if you’ll be taking part in #40for40.
What is Lent?
Lent is the period of 40 days leading up to Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and is seen as a time of reflection where most people choose to give something up or try something new to mark the occasion.
