Step up to the challenge
If you’re looking for a new challenge or a good reason to increase your daily step count, here’s your opportunity.
Step Up September runs for the whole month of September and as well as getting fit, you’ll also be raising funds and awareness to help the Trussell Trust stamp out hunger and poverty in the UK.
Just track your steps on a smartphone or pedometer and clock up the steps to reach your target.
A challenge for everyone
This walking challenge is open to everyone, whatever your fitness level or age. You can do it on your own or as part of a team.
We’re are encouraging you to take 11,000 steps a day – that’s 330,000 for the whole month, however if the challenge sounds like too much or too little, then why not set your own target?
All we ask is that you make every step count by getting your friends and family to sponsor you.
Why every step matters
Fourteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK. In the last year, the Trussell Trust’s food bank network distributed 1.6 million three-day emergency food parcels to people in crisis, a 19% increase on the previous year. More than half a million of these went to children.
Register for you Step Up September fundraising pack today and walk with us to a future where nobody needs to visit a food bank.
