Race against hunger
Run the race as a team
As Race Against Hunger is a virtual event, you can take part alongside your friends, family, or colleagues wherever you live – you don’t even need to be in the same town or city to take part together!
Creating a team fundraising page to pool what you raise is a great way to fundraise as a group, and while you might not be able to run side by side, having a running buddy to share the challenge with you is great motivation.
Or why not take it one step further and become the star of your very own relay team? You can tag your friends on social media to complete the next 5k – how many people can you get to take part?
Creating a team
When you’re registering for Race Against Hunger you will be invited to set up the team fundraiser page during registration.
You will be asked to name the team and can then create the team by either:
- Inviting them to join your team by entering their email address. They will then receive an email prompting them to register.
- You can register all team members at the same time.
Challenge a friend!
Send a WhatsApp message, add to your Instagram story or share a Facebook post challenging a friend to go the distance with you and create or join a team. While you might not be able to run side by side, having a running buddy to share the challenge with you is great motivation.
Have you thought about being a star in a relay team? How about a virtual relay race where your mates ‘tag’ each other on social media to complete the next run? Sharing a video of you handing over a virtual baton could make for a really fun event.
This is a great challenge for everyone, whatever your fitness level, age, background or ability. You can walk, jog or run or do it in fancy dress – take on the challenge in a way that works for you.
