You can provide a friend
Coming to a foodbank isn’t easy. You can feel very embarrassed and even scared of how people might think of you. You have probably kept your secrets to yourself, and hardly spoken to a soul about your situation. That’s why when you come to a Trussell Trust foodbank, you’ll find lovely people who’ll sit down with you, who won’t judge, and who get what you’re going through. You can tell us what’s been happening and how you are. And we’ll help you get things sorted. The way a good friend would.
To do this, we need to give people more than just emergency food. We need to train our volunteers to give out debt advice, for example. Or to help people navigate a welfare system that could be completely new to them. That’s where you can help us.
By giving £15 today you can provide support that lasts for much, much longer than a few urgently needed meals. You’ll be providing a family with the information and support they need, in order to find a route out of their situation.
Could you do this? Just £15 could go towards training and support our dedicated volunteers, helping store and distribute food, and developing sustainable projects. With your help, all we’ll need to worry about is being there for the people who need us.
