During what is likely to be the most challenging winter our food bank network has ever faced, please help make sure we can be there for everyone who needs us.
The soaring cost of living means more and more people are being forced to use food banks.
For the first time ever, food banks are giving out more food than is being donated. This is an emergency.
We’ve launched our first ever Emergency Fund Appeal, to help meet the increased need and keep food banks going this winter.
We’re seeing a level of fear in people that we haven’t seen before. In that, literally, they don’t know what they’re going to do to try and pay the bills and feed their families.

Your gift will help food banks that are having to buy food, on a scale we’ve not seen before, or who are struggling with increased running costs. It will also help ensure that there’s always a listening ear, ready to provide information and support – helping people facing financial hardship, to access the benefits and grants they’re entitled to.
Your gift will help ensure we can be there for people, across the UK, who need our support this winter.

Need is increasing. This year food banks had their busiest August and September on record, and right now an emergency food bank parcel is being given out every 13 seconds.
In the short time it’s taken you to read this far, another emergency food parcel will have been handed out. That’s one more person who’ll be feeling reassured that they have enough food to feed their family tonight. But there are many more people who need our help. Your generosity means our food bank network will be able to meet the increased need for their services.
By giving a gift to our Emergency Fund Appeal, you’ll be helping food banks keep going this winter and provide vital support to families that are at crisis point.
Thank you for your support.
All gifts made via this page, until 31 March 2023, will be put directly towards our Emergency Appeal Fund. After this date, your gift will be used by the Trussell Trust wherever the need is greatest. Thank you for your support.
