Foodbank Centre
'When I went to the foodbank centre I felt I was not being treated as a number but as a human being'
Here staff and volunteers meet clients face-to-face and offer a listening ear over a cup of tea as well as giving emergency food.
We provide clients with a free hot meal made fresh in the onsite cafe and signpost people to other professional services to help tackle the root cause of the crisis.
Job/CV counseling is available at the centre on alternate Wednesdays and Community 4 Housing Support is at the centre every other Tuesday. Free access to the internet is available, as well as information about education and life skills training (nutrition, cooking, budgeting and parenting) designed to break individual cycles of poverty.
Opening times
The FBC is open weekdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
The Cafe serves soup, simple meals on toast, and fresh cakes. It is open to clients and the public from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
