History

On a visit to the local town in 1997 we noticed that there were many more children going hungry on the streets during school holidays than in term time.  The local School/Orphanage at Lipnitza did not have the funds to accommodate the children during the holidays and so they slept on the streets.

A visit to the school showed that life there was not much better. With dilapidated buildings and not enough money to feed the children through the winter, conditions were bad. The Trussell Trust has been working in partnership with Lipnitza since then to improve life for the children there.
