Following our successful move to St Michaels Community Centre, we are now accepting donations, See below:

> Donations

Many people in Salisbury and the South Wiltshire area kindly donate items for resale and reuse so as to support the aims of The Trussell Trust in reducing poverty and despair. There is also the additional benefit of reducing the amount of waste which makes its way to landfill sites around the country. We sort donations, prepare them for resale or make them available to individuals or families who are in crisis or need. Donations range from items of furniture through to clothing. Below is a list of what we are able and unable to accept:

General Considerations: We ask that all donations are clean and in a good state of repair.   If you are able to donate any items, please Contact Us. We ask that donations are delivered to us. If this is not possible please discuss this with us.

What we are currently ABLE to accept:

  • Books

  • DVDs/Videos/CDs/Tapes/Records (but not 18 rated!)

  • Clothes, Bedding and Fabric (Please clean/wash, iron & fold all donations)

  • Crockery/Glassware/Cutlery and Cooking Utensils (Please wash all donations)

  • Furniture (Soft furnishings such as cushions and mattresses must have a label which show that they comply with current fire resistant standards)

  • Toys and Games (All toys must comply with current safety standards, and carry the CE mark. Please clean or wash all donations)

  • Tools and Usable DIY leftovers (Discuss with the Recycle Coordinator)

  • Electrical items

What we are currently UNABLE to accept:

  • Soft furniture which does not comply with current fire resistant standards

  • Toys which do not carry the CE safety mark

  • Any unclean or damaged items

  • Knives and sharp instruments

We do all we can to re-cycle everything that we cannot sell, however on occasion this proves impossible so we reserve the right (albeit reluctantly) to dispose of such items.
